First Step: Choose a skin buddy.
A skin buddy is also your personal consultant and an important part of your journey to learning and using Dr's Secret products correctly and getting good results.
As it is a policy within the company to prevent customers from switching consultants (Which understandably causes tension and conflict), once you have chosen your skin buddy, you are unable to change.
Hence, it is crucial that you speak to and get to know your skin buddy better before committing to signing up.
Tip: Have a chat with her to see if you are comfortable with the conversation, review the answers and advice given and whether you feel rushed in the process.
Once you have confirmed your skin buddy, discuss your skin concerns and skin goals.
How Did I Choose My Skin Buddy?

Vibes: Choose someone whom you can click with. Chat and ask as many questions as you want to find out how is he/she like.
Shared Goals: Does he/she has similar skincare goals or concerns as you? With the same goals and concerns, it makes it easier to relate to each other’s experiences.
Consistency: Find someone who is consistent and committed to their skincare routine, this helps to keep you motivated to achieve and remind you of your skincare goals.
Trust and communication: Do you think you can trust this person and be open with her?
Respect and support: This is very important. Find someone who respects your choices and supports your skincare journey, rather than criticizing/ judging or pressuring you.
Tip: If you are unsure how you feel about the person over messages, I would suggest a physical meet up to get a feel!
2nd step, have your skin assessment!
There are 4 ways to do this.
Physical meet up at demo pod (Located at Somerset) with your appointed skin buddy.
Send your photos to your appointed skin buddy.
Have your skin analyzed by online skin studio AI driven by AI technology and send the results to your appointed skin buddy.
Get a slot for skin studio assessment done by our certified skin consultants! By using imaging technology and multisensory features, it is able to test your skin hydration, elasticity, freckles and pigmentation on your skin.
Your skin buddy will identify the areas of concerns based on your current skin conditions and recommend products that you can kick start with.
Upon confirming on the products to purchase, your skin buddy will guide you through on signing up BWL membership. Delivery of products take about 3 to 5 working days, however do expect a longer waiting time if there is a good promotion especially at the start of the month.
If you need your products urgently, you can opt for self collection which is only available at our Orchard Regional Centre.
What to do next?
3rd step - UNBOXING time! Inform your skin buddy that you received your products and start your foundation free journey!
If you are my user, I will prep you with a list of reactions that you may experience and why is it so? This is to assure my users that it is normal and how to deal with it.
The last step - Your customised regime from your skin buddy. Remember that everyone’s regime is unique because our skin conditions are different. At times, users especially a group of friends will ask why is my friend not using this? Why is my friend using lesser pumps than me? Your friend might have oily skin but not you, your friend’s skin might be more sensitive than yours. These are the factors that you need to consider. Have trust in your skin buddy!
Remember, every skin journey is unique. While we work together to get to your skin goals, do expect some hiccups along the way.
